Profile & Story

Olivier Leflaive is a negociant house in Puligny-Montrachet founded in 1984 by Olivier Leflaive, of the famed Leflaive family of Burgundy winegrowers. Cuvee Margot is named for one of Olivier's daughters. It is a blend from about twenty different Cote de Beaune plots spanning Santenay to Pernand-Vergelesses, 100% Pinot Noir, fully destemmed, fermented in open vats for 15-20 days, then aged 16 months (partly in stainless steel, the balance in oak barrels of which 15% are new). ABV 13%.

Tasting Notes

Producer tasting note (official 2022 tech sheet): notes of black fruit and raspberry dominate, accompanied by a slightly tannic and structured palate. Serving temperature 16-18C; drinking window 2022-2027.

Pairing Recommendation

Producer food pairing (official tech sheet): ideal with parsley ham (jambon persille) or a pate en croute.
