Profile & Story
Racines is a Sta. Rita Hills, California project founded in 2016 by Etienne de Montille and Brian Sieve of Burgundy's Domaine de Montille, joined by Rodolphe Peters of Champagne's Pierre Peters. The Sta. Rita Hills Cuvee Pinot Noir draws from vineyards along the Santa Rosa Road corridor farmed organically. Winemaking uses roughly 50% whole-cluster fermentation with native yeast, followed by elevage in French oak barriques (15-20% new) for 17 months; ABV around 13%.
