Txomin Etxaniz is a family winery in Getaria, Basque Country, with documented winemaking roots tracing to 1649. The Txueka-Etxaniz family led the 1980s revival of Getaria txakoli and helped found the D.O. Getariako Txakolina in 1989. Made from indigenous Hondarrabi Zuri grapes on pergola-trained vines near the Atlantic; hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel with lees aging. ABV 11%.
Tasting Notes
Yellow-green colour with citric and fruity aromas; slightly acidic and naturally carbonated (light spritz) on the palate, with a persistent finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Officially recommended with aperitivos, shellfish/seafood, fish, and white meats. Serve cold at 6-8C.
