Profile & Story
Château Lescalle has produced wine in the Médoc commune of Macau, near Margaux, since the estate was founded by Emmanuel Tessandier in 1875, farming 16 hectares of clay and gravel soils.
Tasting Notes
A blend of 65% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc, aged in barrique with a touch of new oak. Deep red in color with a bouquet of black and red fruits and a hint of vanilla; medium-bodied and intensely fruity, with an elegantly firm structure and restrained tannins.
