Fattoria La Lecciaia has farmed vineyards in the Vallafrico area near Montalcino since Mauro Pacini purchased the estate in 1983, working in the same micro-terroir where Brunello di Montalcino originated.
Tasting Notes
Sassarello is a Toscana IGT Super Tuscan blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the Sangiovese aged in large traditional oak and the Cabernet and Merlot in French barrique. Rich, earthy aromas of dark cherry, plum and cocoa are joined by touches of cedar and sandalwood.
