Lumiere Winery is a family-owned winery in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, founded in 1885 and run by the Furiya family for over 130 years - one of Japan's oldest wineries and a pioneer of Japan's indigenous Koshu grape as well as unusual hybrids such as Black Queen and Muscat Bailey A. Mitsuki - Histoire Assemblage is a red blend built around 39% Black Queen mixed with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus small additions of Mills, Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Alicante and Petit Verdot. It is fermented in stainless steel for 11-25 days and aged in barrique for 25 months; ABV is 12%. The winery practices no-till, wild-grass viticulture free of pesticides and fertilizers.
