Profile & Story

Ken Wright is considered a founding figure of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir movement. After eight years winemaking in Monterey County, he moved to Oregon in 1985, founding Panther Creek Cellars in 1986 before establishing Ken Wright Cellars in Carlton in 1994 around a philosophy of vineyard-designate bottling; he helped organize several of the Northern Willamette Valley's AVAs and wrote the petition for the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. This bottling is 100% Pinot Noir sourced from multiple vineyards across the Northern Willamette Valley AVA, blended and aged in stainless steel and neutral French oak barrels to preserve fruit purity (13.2% ABV).
