Domaine Landron-Chartier is a family estate in the Coteaux d'Ancenis, northeast of Nantes in France's Loire Valley, founded in the early 2000s by Bernard and Françoise Landron after Bernard had worked alongside his brother on a family vineyard south of Nantes. Their son Benoît, who trained in viticulture and oenology and gained experience across France, joined the domaine in 2008; with his wife Marjorie he now leads the estate, and the entire vineyard converted to certified organic farming upon his arrival. The family holds that quality work happens in the vineyard rather than the cellar, favoring hand-harvesting, indigenous-yeast fermentation, and minimal intervention to let their parcels and terroir speak clearly. Aussi Pinot Gris 2022 is a Vin de France made from 100% organically farmed Pinot Gris, vinified as an orange-style wine through roughly ten days of skin-contact maceration. The resulting wine shows a rosé hue and a charming, generous nose of stone fruit with honeyed notes, while the palate is full and tender, built on a fine balance between sweetness and acidity.
