YA Cuvee 23 is a Grower Cava from Familia Sumarroca (established 1998, winemaker Carles Sumarroca), farmed organically and dry-farmed on a single 420-acre estate vineyard in DO Cava - Sant Sadurni (limestone, clay, and river-rock soils at 1,200 ft). The cuvee -- a Xarel-lo, Chardonnay, and Parellada blend -- is made purely from free-run 'mosto flor' juice from sustainably farmed, hand-harvested fruit, then aged on the lees for two and a half years before disgorging.
