Domaine Serol is a family estate in the Cote Roannaise, in the hills of the upper Loire near the river's source, certified organic and biodynamic under Carine and Stephane Serol. The estate is known for championing Gamay Saint-Romain, a rare local Gamay clone suited to its cool, high-altitude granite slopes. Turbullent is a sparkling rose petillant naturel made entirely from Gamay: the wine is direct-pressed and ferments in tank at low temperature with indigenous yeasts before being bottled without any dosage liqueur, where fermentation finishes naturally in bottle; it is then stabilized by the transfer method. It reaches about 10.5% ABV with a natural residual sugar of 5g/l.
