Profile & Story

Don Julio was founded in 1942 by Don Julio González, who built the La Primavera distillery in the Jaliscan Highlands and devoted decades to hand-cultivating agave on the volcanic-soil terrain he believed produced the world's finest tequila. Don Julio Reposado is rested for eight months in American white-oak barrels, taking on a golden amber color that the brand calls the essence of the perfect barrel-aged tequila, made from 100% Blue Weber agave.

Tasting Notes

The nose offers an inviting aroma of mellow lemon citrus and spice layered with touches of ripe stone fruit. The palate is incredibly soft and elegant, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, and light cinnamon, finishing silky and warm with an essence of dried fruit, nuts, and a touch of caramel apple.

Pairing Recommendation
