Elijah Craig is credited as the first distiller to char oak barrels, earning the brand the name "The Father of Bourbon," and all Elijah Craig bourbons today continue to age in Level 3 charred new oak barrels. The Small Batch, bottled at 94 proof, is billed by the brand as "the award-winning Bourbon that started it all," drawing its warm spice and subtle smoke character from that charred-oak aging.

Tasting Notes
