Old Overholt is made in the spirit of its historical founder, whom the brand describes as "tenacious and industrious," and is today distilled and bottled at Beam Suntory's Kentucky operations as a straight rye whiskey. The Original expression is aged a minimum of four years and bottled at its historical 86 proof.

Tasting Notes

The aroma shows light spices and pepper mixed with a slight fruitiness and hints of vanilla; the full-bodied palate balances spice with deep, dark fruit flavors, carrying through to a balanced, flavorful finish.
