Hitching Post Sparkled Parté Rosé
2023, Central Coast, USA
About the Wine
Valdiguié is an obscure red varietal that is grown primarily in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. We sourced from French Camp Vineyard located near Shandon in San Luis Obispo County. As a red, it produces a densely colored wine with a vibrant fruit character, expressive personality, and live wire acidity. We are having fun creating an array of expressions!
Tasting Notes
Refreshing, crisp and dry with subtle strawberry and pomegranate notes and loads of bubbly charm. It is made from Valdiguié grapes, an obscure red varietal that is grown primarily in southern France, and known for their intense color, vibrant fruit character and acidity - ideal for rosé. When infused with CO2, it becomes absolutely delightful! While a great "welcoming" wine or for toasting special occasions, it is also a wonderful match with grilled salmon, roast turkey and quiche Lorraine.
