Bodegas Marques de Arviza is the second-oldest winery in Rioja, its cellars built over more than 500 meters of 16th- and 17th-century underground galleries in Fuenmayor. El Vern is a varietal Tempranillo in the traditional Crianza style of Rioja, sourced from 10-15 year-old selected vineyards across several Rioja villages -- 'Vino de Trago largo,' an easy everyday red.
Tasting Notes
Rich and complex for an everyday Rioja: ripe cherry, plum and blackberry with hints of vanilla, cedar and baking spice from oak aging, underlying earthiness, moderate-to-firm tannins and balanced acidity, finishing long with spice, dried herbs and a touch of smoke.
