Weingut Stadt Krems was founded in 1452 to fund the hospital of Krems, making it one of the oldest wineries in Austria; the municipality of Krems still owns the estate today, which belongs to the prestigious Traditionsweingueter and farms to Certified Sustainable standards in the Kremstal.
