Profile & Story
Founded in 2001 by Jean-François Meynard on 15 hectares in Saint-Colombe, Château Roque le Mayne farms clay-limestone soil on the same limestone plateau as neighboring Saint-Émilion. The blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec undergoes a 3-4 day cold pre-fermentation maceration in stainless steel to extract color and fruit while building structure.
Tasting Notes
A dense, purple color with red fruit and mocha aromas in harmony with vanilla oak. Full, balanced and silky on the palate.
