Château Suduiraut, a Premier Cru Classé estate adjacent to Château d'Yquem, has been owned by AXA Millésimes since 1992; its 17th-century gardens were designed by André Le Nôtre. The 2013 is a blend of 93% Sémillon and 7% Sauvignon Blanc, harvested across three tries between late September and late October at a yield of 15 hl/ha, and matured for 20 months in 45% new and 55% one-year-old oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of grapefruit, confit citron, kumquat and lemon; a moderately weighted, juicy and textured wine with a sweet, layered, round palate that segues into a long, mineral, fresh finish.
