Lukas Hammelmann is a rising star of natural winemaking in the Pfalz of western Germany, based in the town of Zeiskam in the Rhein basin; he founded his own label in 2016 after working in wine through the 2000s. His rosé of 100% Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) undergoes a short maceration followed by spontaneous fermentation and a brief élevage, bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2.
