Nikolaihof is Austria's oldest winery, with a history dating back nearly two thousand years, and has been Demeter-certified biodynamic since 1998. The Steinterrassen Grüner Veltliner comes from several vineyards around Mautern on the Danube with diverse soils and exposures; the 2012 was bottled in May 2023 after almost twelve years' maturation in a single 6,500-litre barrel.
