This wine honors George Washington and his affinity for decadent, richly styled Madeiras, created in partnership with Mount Vernon. Winemaker Ricardo Freitas built the blend on a foundation of 10-20 year old wines with a number of much older vintages included, aiming to capture the elegant, robust profile of the Madeiras Washington himself favored in the 1750s.
