Familia Torres created Grans Muralles to recover native Catalan grape varieties that had nearly gone extinct, blending Cariñena, Garnacha and Monastrell together with the rescued Garró and Querol varieties. The vines grow at the foot of the ancient walls that once protected the Poblet monastery, on deep, rocky soils of slate and granite.
