Inama Soave Classico Carbonare 2023

Inama is a family winery founded in 1967 in Veneto, today run by Stefano Inama together with his son Matteo. The Carbonare vineyard is a historic site of old pergola-trained vines on the eastern-facing slopes of Soave, at around 200 meters above a steep valley that channels cool air down from the Val d'Alpone and the Piccole Dolomiti. The volcanic, basalt-rich soil here shows notable chromatic variation, from black to green, red and orange, and the vines - organically farmed and averaging 49 years old - yield just 7,500 kg per hectare. The wine is 100% Garganega, given a short skin-contact maceration before fermenting and aging entirely in stainless steel for about a year, followed by six months in bottle; annual production is around 13,000 bottles. Alcohol runs 12.5%.
