Profile & Story
Pio Cesare is a family winery founded in 1881 in Alba. "L'Altro," produced since the 1990 harvest, is sourced from high-elevation, cool-climate sites in the Langhe and blends Chardonnay with Sauvignon Blanc. Fermentation begins in stainless steel, after which the wine rests partially in French barriques, one-third new oak, and partially in steel for a few months.
