Profile & Story

Kopke, founded in 1638, is the oldest Port house still in existence. Winemaker Carlos Alves crafts the Fine Ruby by macerating destemmed, crushed grapes at controlled temperature to extract color, tannin and aroma before fortification.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby with a garnet rim; a classic bouquet where the liveliness of young fruit gives a delicate balance, firm and powerful on the palate with fresh fruit flavors and a long, harmonious finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Strawberry and yoghurt mousse, red berry clafouti, or Camembert millefeuille with raspberries and rosemary.
