John Anthony Vineyards was founded in 2003 on three guiding principles: a deep respect for heritage, precision winegrowing, and meticulous winemaking. From the beginning, the focus has been crafting wines that reflect the depth and diversity of Napa Valley’s terroir through thoughtful, site-driven viticulture. In the late 1990s, John established his own vineyard management business, seeking out small, distinctive parcels across Napa Valley. His approach centered on understanding each site’s unique character and farming with intention, laying the groundwork for wines of depth and distinction. In 2006, he released the first wines under the John Anthony label. Today, John Anthony Vineyards produces limited-production wines sourced from estate vineyards across Napa Valley’s diverse AVAs. The portfolio includes Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, single-vineyard expressions of various Rhône and Bordeaux varietals, sparkling wines, reserve wines, and exceptional library vintages.
