Profile & Story

Casata Monticello is a label of the Neirano cellars, owned by the Sperone family, who have been engaged in Piedmont wine production for four generations from their base in Monferrato; Paolo and Antonio Sperone lead it today, with the next generation, Francesca and Andrea, now involved. The estate farms roughly 30 hectares of owned vineyards with an emphasis on careful grape selection, traditional vinification, and modern bottling technology. This wine is 100% Barbera from the Barbera d'Alba DOC appellation in the Alba hills of Piedmont.
