Profile & Story

The Georgian indigenous grape variety Rkatsiteli wine is from the eastern part of Georgia. Grapes are grown in the vineyards near the Alaverdi Monastery in the valley of the Alazani River. Using Georgian ancient traditional technology – a buried clay vessel in the ground called “Qvevri”. The fermentation process of 10 days, grape remains after the fermentation is finished to the wine for 6 more months. The qvevri enriches the wine with varied, vivid aromas and flavors.

Tasting Notes

Wine is amber-yellow and full-bodied, with immediate notes of sweet spices reminiscent of panettone. The bouquet of this blessed wine, lingers in the mouth for a long time; its flavor reveals soft tannins, and the wine has long finish. Best served at 53-59°F.

Wine pairs well with meat salads, beef, and poultry.
