Profile & Story

Stefano and Eloisa De Fermo continue a family winemaking legacy in Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo, dating back to the late 18th century, farming biodynamically. Concrete Rosato is made entirely from Montepulciano, given a brief two-hour skin maceration to achieve its ruby hue, then pressed gently on a traditional manual screw press. It ages six months in twenty-hectoliter concrete tanks - the source of its name - before being bottled without fining or filtration and with minimal sulfur.

Tasting Notes

Effectively a 'baby Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo,' with clean, tangy, juicy fruit and a mouthwatering, saline minerality - straightforward without being simple.
