Weingut Hirsch is based in the historic wine village of Kammern in the Kamptal, where Johannes Hirsch is regarded as one of Austria's leading young winemakers, farming biodynamically (RESPEKT-certified) and working almost exclusively with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. This Kammern bottling is sourced from loess and clay soils on the edge of the village, considered some of the most compelling terroir in the Kamptal, and carries the Kamptal DAC designation. It is fermented and aged in steel tank to a dry style at 12.5% alcohol.
