Profile & Story
Zenato is a benchmark producer in the Valpolicella region, and Ripassa is its signature expression of the ripasso method: after Amarone's fermentation, a selection of the estate's Valpolicella Classico Superiore is re-passed over the still-warm Amarone pomace, triggering a second fermentation that builds structure, color and aroma. The wine then ages 18 to 20 months in French oak before further refinement in bottle.
Tasting Notes
A deep, velvety ruby red shows intense, refined and persistent aromas of sour cherry and plum alongside sweet spice and dark chocolate. The palate is smooth and harmonious, with an enveloping roundness supported by vibrant freshness.
