Profile & Story

Guerila is a certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter) estate of 12 hectares in the Vipava Valley, between Mediterranean and Alpine climates, where Zmago Petric continues a long family winemaking tradition and grows mainly the indigenous Zelen, Pinela and Rebula. Blanc de Nature is a zero-dosage sparkling made from organically and biodynamically farmed Merlot grown on high-elevation marl soils. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed with brief skin contact and ferment spontaneously; secondary fermentation takes place in bottle using frozen must from the same vintage, followed by three years on the lees. No liqueur is added at disgorgement and sulfur is kept very low.
