Profile & Story
In 1998 Marinko Rodica left work as a car mechanic to become a winemaker; by 2008 the family estate at Truske, in the hills above Koper in Slovenian Istria, was certified organic. This sweet white is 100% Rumeni Muskat (yellow muscat) from terraced, south-facing limestone slopes near the Adriatic. After a few hours of skin maceration the grapes ferment spontaneously, the wine finishes fermentation in stainless steel and matures six months in 2,500-litre acacia barrels before unfiltered bottling. 12% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Combines the typical floral, honeyed lemon-peel aromatics of yellow muscat with lively acidity and an earthy edge; beautiful pine notes on the nose, and a light, fresh, mineral texture on the palate, offering more than a simple sweet wine.

Enjoy chilled with not-too-sweet desserts, or on its own.
