Profile & Story
The Zajc family's winemaking dates to the second half of the 19th century in Dolenjska, in the Posavje region of south-eastern Slovenia, known for fresh, light reds and whites. Their 'Full Circle' wines revive the region's old, minimal-intervention traditions. Frankinja-Gamay blends 85% Blaufrankisch (Modra Frankinja) with 15% Gamay; it is fermented with wild yeasts over four days of maceration in stainless steel, matured in steel and bottled unfiltered. 10% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of red berries, plums and pepper; the palate balances forest-berry fruit with a soft texture, bursting with freshness and youthful acidity.

Serve with a touch of chill alongside skirt-steak tacos, pork barbecue or a cheesy burger, or on its own.
