The Bründlmayer family's Kamptal estate holds a direct link to the Zweigelt grape itself: their cellar and vineyards once belonged to the family of Dr. Fritz Zweigelt, who created the variety in 1921. This rosé blends grapes picked at moderate ripeness and pressed like a white wine with a small portion of free-run juice from riper fruit, fermented in steel.
