D'Oliveira (Pereira D'Oliveira) is an independent, family-owned Madeira producer tracing its roots to the 1850s, still run by descendants of founder Joao Pereira d'Oliveira, with one of the island's largest libraries of old cask-aged Madeiras. Malvazia (Malmsey) has its fermentation halted early, between roughly 3.5-6.5 degrees Baume of residual sugar, giving Madeira's darkest, richest, most texturally luscious style, with characteristic coffee-caramel flavors. This 1907 is one of the estate's oldest library Malvasias, cask-aged for over a century before bottling.
