Gianfranco Alessandria farms 8 hectares in the village of Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Barolo zone, surrounded by some of Monforte's most celebrated crus. The family estate specializes in Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, and this Barolo San Giovanni is bottled from the estate's home vineyard.

Tasting Notes

Intense ruby with garnet reflections. The nose is fresh and vigorous, with fruity and spicy aromas. The palate shows good balance between acidity, tannin, and structure, with the more masculine, powerful character typical of Barolo from Monforte d'Alba, without losing elegance or fruit.
