Profile & Story

Cantine I Favati farms in Cesinale, in the heart of Irpinia east of Naples, within the Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, and Taurasi DOCG zones. The estate is run by winemaker Rosanna Petrozziello together with her husband Giancarlo Favati, brother-in-law Piersabino Favati, and daughter Carla Giusy Favati, farming 16 hectares of Irpinia's indigenous varieties. Pietramara takes its name from the family's estate vineyard in Altripalda, in the province of Avellino.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw yellow with green-gold hues. The nose is fresh and mineral, with a subtle smoky note over lemon peel and pear. On the palate it shows medium body and a slightly creamy texture, with tropical and dried-fruit flavors resolving into a mineral finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Recommended as an aperitivo, and with shellfish, marinated seafood, and lighter Mediterranean dishes.
