Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia is the second wine of Ornellaia, the Bolgheri estate on Tuscany's coast founded in 1981. Crafted from the same varieties, under the same sky, and with the same philosophy as the flagship Ornellaia, Le Serre Nuove is built to foretell the personality of the estate's top wine while offering an earlier window into its style.
Tasting Notes
A deep red-purple hue with ripe black fruit, spices, and lightly toasted wood on the nose. The palate opens with a generous, juicy prologue before rich, firm tannins take hold, closing on an aromatic, plush, and persistent finish. The wine already drinks well but has the structure to reach full maturity within a decade.
