Villa Raiano is a family-owned winery established in 1996 in San Michele di Serino, in the province of Avellino, with a new winery built in 2009 to focus on the indigenous varieties of Campania.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red with clear purple highlights. The nose is explosive, with cocoa, tobacco, and fresh fruit, particularly mulberry and plum, alongside slightly mentholated balsamic notes on the finish. The palate shows well-ripened tannins without astringency, balanced by a fresh alcoholic structure and solid sapidity.
Pairing Recommendation
The estate recommends it for barbecues and grilled meats of all kinds, pasta with tuna sauce, fresh pasta with mushrooms, grilled fennel sausage, anelletti with meat sauce and fresh ricotta, and eggplant rolls.
