Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard, on the west shore of Seneca Lake, has been a pioneering force in Finger Lakes Riesling since 1979 and has been biodynamically farmed under winemaker Fred Merwarth since 2007. The Reserve Dry draws on specific older blocks across the estate's vineyards, picked later in the season for extended hang time and added structure.
Tasting Notes
A weighty, richly textured Riesling with a complex, extended finish, showing the fruit and mineral character of the estate's HJW and Magdalena vineyard sites.
