Dominio de Atauta farms the remote Atauta Valley on the eastern edge of Ribera del Duero at roughly 1,000m elevation in Soria — 59 hectares of ungrafted vines aged 130-190 years, the largest such old-vine area in the world, worked biodynamically. Atalayas de Golbán is the estate's broader Ribera del Duero project, sourcing Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) from additional old-vine sites around San Esteban de Gormaz; the Crianza ages a minimum of one year in French oak, 70% used barrels and 30% new.
