Bodega Hiriart's cellar building dates to 1750, with tunnels hand-excavated that century; the winery takes its name from José Hiriart, a French immigrant who formally founded the bodega in 1920 and whose family ran it for five generations before a recent sale to the Vinos de la Luz group. The estate farms 34 hectares within D.O. Cigales.
Tasting Notes
Red berries twinned with cinnamon, pepper and soft toasted wood; balanced and meaty, wide, lingering and rich in mouthfeel.
