Fifth-generation Napa natives John and Maggy Kongsgaard planted their Judge Vineyard to Chardonnay in the 1970s, releasing their first vintage in 1996. Farming and winemaking remain intensely hands-on and low-intervention, yielding a small production of powerful, age-worthy wines.
