Krug's Grande Cuvee is the house's signature multi-vintage blend, reassembled edition by edition to express Krug's singular idea of Champagne rather than any one year. The 172eme Edition is built around the 2016 harvest, blending 146 individual wines from 11 different vintages -- the youngest from 2016, the oldest dating back to 1998 -- with reserve wines from the house's library contributing 42% of the final assemblage (roughly 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, 20% Meunier).
