Profile & Story
Alturis farms plains and hills close to Cividale del Friuli, in north-eastern Italy. The Friulano is a varietal wine under the DOP Friuli Colli Orientali designation, trained by Guyot and the Friuli single-inverted system, harvested in September, and bottled at 13% alcohol. The producer calls Friulano the grape that expresses this territory better than any other.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow with greenish hues. A splendid characteristic bouquet recalling warm lime-tree honey, white flowers and pear. A balanced flavour, where a captivating softness is completed by lively taste and freshness, typically finishing with a subtle note of bitter almonds and pronounced minerality.
Pairing Recommendation
A classic aperitif wine for appetisers made with fish or sausage; unsurpassed with San Daniele ham, and a good fit for rich fresh cheeses. Serve at 10-12 C.
