Malvira Rive Gauche Arneis Extra Brut NV

Profile & Story

Malvira is the Damonte family estate at Canale, in the Roero, now in its third generation. Rive Gauche is their Extra Brut sparkling wine: fermentation and the second fermentation both take place in stainless steel tanks, and the wine matures on its lees at controlled temperature. The refermentation is driven solely by the residual sugar of the base wine, with nothing added. The estate's labels tie symbols from the tarot to the wheel that appears in the coat of arms of the Counts of Roero.

Pairing Recommendation

Excellent as an aperitif, and a good match for summer salads, pasta, fish, shellfish and chicken.
