Castello di Tassarolo, run by Massimiliana Spinola, sits in the commune of Tassarolo at the heart of the Gavi DOCG zone in southern Piedmont; the Spinola family has made wine from these vineyards since the 14th century and has farmed biodynamically since 2006. Orsola is 100% Cortese, hand-harvested and pressed, then fermented with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel. The label reproduces an Andy Warhol portrait of Orsola Spinola, a family relative.
