The Fanti family has farmed in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, one of Montalcino's most prized zones, for nearly 200 years, today run by Filippo Fanti and daughter Elisa. Poggio Torto, named for the irregularly shaped hill facing the estate, is a Toscana IGT blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, aged in a mix of large barrels and barriques.
