Profile & Story
Founded in 1851 in Reims, Charles Heidsieck built its reputation on cellaring reserve wines. Brut Réserve is assembled from roughly 60 individually vinified crus (40% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 20% Meunier), largely vinified in stainless steel with a small portion in old Burgundy oak barrels, and enriched with a high proportion of aged reserve wines (current release based on the 2019 vintage, disgorged 2024, dosage 9 g/L, nearly 4 years aging sur lattes).
Tasting Notes
Deep golden robe with delicate, persistent effervescence. Aromas of freshly baked brioche, roasted notes and ripe sun-kissed fruit (mango, apricot, mirabelle plum) with dried fruit, pistachio and almond; a fleshy palate of plum and cherry, creamy nougat, amber and vanilla, with a persistent toasty finish.
